Divar, the versatile one-box solution

The heart of your security infrastructure

Put the Divar - a combined multiplexer and digital recorder - at the heart of your organisation's security infrastructure, and enjoy the benefits of reliable, fully-function digital video recording. The DivarTM may be used stand-alone - viewing up to 16 cameras, cascaded or networked to provide the security and coverage that your organisation needs.

Divar is an embedded system so it does not require service pack updates or become infected with computer viruses or worms. Options include a integral DVD recorder to archive your important images and Bilinx telemetry to allow the direct control of pan, tilt and zoom cameras and domes as well as allowing cameras to be configured and tuned from your control room, hence saving you additional maintenance costs.

It comes with the coveted 'Kalagate' certificate which means that it has been certified by all European police forces and courts as well as being approved as 'safe digital evidence' by the UK Law Society.

Everything you need ... and more

All the essential CCTV system elements are present. The built-in multiplexer and switcher controls and views 6, 9 or 16 cameras (including controlling pan-and-tilt cameras), and the full-function digital recorder captures scenes at up to 50 images per second - with simultaneous recording and playback. Alarm and motion-detection recording is standard, while smart motion search makes locating images of specific scenes simplicity itself. The version with the internal DVD writer makes it very easy to archive or export recordings without the need for a PC. And even with all this powerful functionality, Divar is remarkably easy to use.

Evidence you can use

Divar records 'image authentication' data together with the images so that they cannot be altered in any way without the tampering being detected. This critical video and data authentication eliminates concerns about using digital CCTV recordings as evidence in legal procedures. Divar has been 'Kalagate' certified.  Important recordings can be 'write protected' to ensure that they are not removed from the recorder until they have been exported to cd or dvd media which also copies the archive player software which self launches the images when placed into a PC for replay and analysis.

The Bilinx advantage

Adding Bilinx to Divar means that functions usually requiring hands-on access to a camera or its wiring now use the video transmission cable to communicate with the camera. This is a significant advantage in installations where cameras are hard to reach or where operations and surveillance might be compromised by a routine service call.

Local expansion flexibility

Build the system to your specifications

Whether you need a stand-alone Divar, a multi-camera recording system or a network of interconnected recorders, Divar expands easily as more functionality is required. In addition to the standard front panel controls, the option Bosch IntuiKeyTM keyboard works with all Divar configurations.

Storing images is quick, easy and cost-effective with Divar. Simplified local archiving on low-cost, high-capacity DVD's or CD's is available using the optional DVD writer. The system may be configured with hard disks of varying sizes to meet virtually any storage requirements you may have. Additionally, Divar connects with external disk arrays such as DVAD and DVAS for expanded storage. However large or small your application there's a Divar to meet your needs.

A single IntuiKeyTM keyboard allows you to control and operate as many as 30 Divar recorders. For fully centralised control, viewing and recording from up to 256 cameras, a Bosch Video Manager links as many as 16 Divar units. These configurations are ideal for larger applications such as industrial complexes, multi-storey buildings, prisons and shopping malls. An ATM/POS interface is also available to capture and track transaction details for banking, retail and other POS applications.

Fit Divar into your existing systems

Divar integrates smoothly into existing installations with conventional analogue video matrix systems, such as the Bosch Allegiant® system. These systems offer integrated control and digital video recording for casinos, airports and other large security-critical facilities.

Global system management on a network

Multi-user and multi-site solutions

With the easy-to-use Bosch Control Centre, authorised users can view and control cameras from multiple Divar units at the same time. Up to six remote users can view live and stored images simultaneously from each Divar on the network, while normal local operation continues uninterrupted. Divar is fully password-protected to ensure that only authorised users can view and retrieve the recorded video.

For multiple site applications, Divar units connect to each other and to a central station by local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) or the Internet. Built-in bandwidth control ensures that streaming video will not overload your network.

The Control Centre includes a powerful Configuration Tool. The user-friendly graphical interface allows you to configure any connected Divar from a remote PC, adjusting settings as though you were working at the Divar unit itself. In addition, you can save the Divar configuration settings to the PC's hard disk as backup or to download the configuration to other Divars.

Live viewing, recording and playback

System configuration, live viewing and play back may occur locally at the unit or from anywhere on a network. In addition, using Internet Explorer to view a live video feed, play back events, search and control cameras without special permissions or additional software.

Plays well with others

Divar integrates easily with Bosch G Series control panels, one of the most widely used control panels in the industry. In addition, using the software development kit (SDK), Divar integrates with virtually any third-party system or software.
